A spirometry test is a lung function test that should be conducted at pre-employment where the employee may be exposed to respiratory hazards and/or required to wear respiratory protective equipment. This test establishes a baseline for any health surveillance to be measured against and provide an indication of fitness to work wearing respiratory protective equipment. 

Audiometry tests are conducted where a candidate may be subject to noise over 85dB(A) to determine baseline records in the event of hearing loss claims, and litigation. Under Workers Compensation, an employer is responsible for all noise-induced hearing loss their employee may have, regardless of whether the damage was sustained in current employment. 

The turnaround is 24 hours post-appointment.
