  • What is included in Identity Guard Insurance?

    Items covered to certain members in the event their identity is stolen, with cover up to $15,000* may include:

    - Legal expenses
    - Lost wages
    - Outstanding fraudulent debts
    - Document product/application submissions to relevant parties
    - Key and/or lock replacement
    - Travel-related expenses

    • How does Identity Watch/dark web monitoring work?

      Customers provide the information they would like monitored, such as credit or debit card numbers, phone numbers, and email addresses, via the online membership portal. We then store this information securely in our system and use tools such as web crawlers and forum extraction to locate possible compromised data online (including dark web monitoring).

      If Identity Watch finds that a customer’s identity has been compromised, it will automatically send an email alert so they can take action straight away. We will also provide assistance on what steps to take to help recover their identity with Your Credit and Identity Guard Insurance.

    • How often do details get monitored as part of Identity Watch?

      With Identity Watch, customers’ personal details are monitored 24/7. That means now. And now. And now … get the picture? If any information is found to be compromised we will send an alert straight away.

    • Why partner with Equifax?

      By teaming up with Equifax, your customers will have access to industry-leading services based on the largest consumer credit reporting bureau in Australia. With our Equifax Protect service, your customers can monitor their credit and identity profile and reduce the risk that any data breach will result in identity theft or financial loss.

    • What if a customer already has subscribed to an Equifax service?

      If they currently have, or have previously had an Equifax service, they won’t be able to register for free access online. In this instance, they can contact our Customer Care team on 13 83 32 and quote their unique code to activate the free service.
